Our hope for 2030 is that treatment for leukemia in Iraq will improve through the utilization of capacity-based aid. By bringing in doctors, nurses, and other educators to the area, care providers in Iraq can receive training in the most recent techniques for leukemia treatment. This training will include education on the most effective chemotherapeutic drug regimens and the proper administration of these treatments. Additionally, care providers in Iraq will be educated on signs and symptoms of leukemia, in order to catch cases and begin treatment earlier. Care providers in Iraq will then be able to provide optimal care to leukemia patients. Additionally, money will be raised to build leukemia treatment centers, which will be staffed by these educated care providers. Not only will this improve leukemia treatment in Iraq, it will increase job opportunities in the area, improving their economy. This improved economy can allow for further construction of additional hospitals, allowing leukemia patients to receive the care that they need and deserve. Through the development of capacity-based aid in Iraq, our hope for 2030 is that leukemia will be better managed and treated, and those diagnosed will live longer and more happy lives.
